          Worship – by Jeremiah Dom Ogbonna

          Faith over Fear

          You may have heard the phrase, ‘have faith’ repeatedly in the times we are living in, but it is one of the most important things we should cling onto to.

          Faith is a weapon that we can always call on.

          Faith is believing in what you cannot see (Hebrews 11:1).

          Faith is what makes life worth living (Galatians 5:6).

          Faith is having an active trust in God.

          Faith can move mountains.

          It can build up people.

          It can defeat demons.

          It can turn the weak into strong.

          Ephesians 6:16 NLT – ‘In addition to all of these, hold up the shield of faith to stop the fiery arrows of the devil’

          We have to use the faith that God has given us to carry out the great mission that God has called all of us who know him to do. This is what we call the great commission. It's what we've been called to do. It doesn't matter how old you are, where you're from, who you look like. It's about what you have to deliver!

          The only thing that can stop you from this mission is FEAR. The normal meaning that you would probably think of is this:

          FEAR - Forget Everything And Run

          However, I want to let you know there's a better meaning that you (yes you) should apply in your life:

          FEAR- Forget Everything And Rise

          For further inspiration, check out this video on the The Great Commission by pastor Mike Todd. It's a long video so we would recommend watching the last 10 minutes.

          It's up to You to decide which meaning you want for yourself. Are you going to run or rise? Are You going to carry out the great commission? That's is my challenge for you today. You don't even need to go anywhere; all I ask is that you share the good news to one person whether it’s through WhatsApp, Snapchat and Instagram or even someone in your own home.

          God of all love, we come to you with all that we are.
          We bring you our hopes and dreams, our joys and sorrows, our anxieties and worry, We ask that you would fill us with the peace of your presence.
          We know you have made us to be people of courage.
          We know that your perfect love drives out fear.
          You have called to be people of strength and boldness, because you are with us.
          Make us like Jesus, courageous and loving, wherever we are, whatever it costs and as long as it takes.
          This day and forevermore. Amen.

          Wellbeing Tips
          Fear can feel HUGE and overwhelming, particular in this time, Why not write your fears down onto a piece of paper/or in a worry jar. You can then offer these to God in prayer, or let a friend or family member know. I have found that often, a burden shared is a burden halved.

          If – by Rudyard Kipling
          (first two stanzas of the poem)

          If you can keep your head when all about you

              Are losing theirs and blaming it on you,

          If you can trust yourself when all men doubt you,

              But make allowance for their doubting too;

          If you can wait and not be tired by waiting,

              Or being lied about, don’t deal in lies,

          Or being hated, don’t give way to hating,

              And yet don’t look too good, nor talk too wise:

          If you can dream—and not make dreams your master;

              If you can think—and not make thoughts your aim;

          If you can meet with Triumph and Disaster

              And treat those two impostors just the same;

          If you can bear to hear the truth you’ve spoken

              Twisted by knaves to make a trap for fools,

          Or watch the things you gave your life to, broken,

              And stoop and build ’em up with worn-out tools:
